Get a Free Energy Assessment and 24-Months Interest-Free Financing* on Your Nova Scotia Power Bill

Whether your small business is heated with electricity, oil, gas or other fuels, our Small Business Energy Solutions program offers rebates to cover up to 80% of your project cost for various energy efficiency upgrades.

*24-months interest-free financing is only available for electrically heated small businesses only.

Energy efficiency upgrades will help your business gain a competitive advantage, with benefits such as:

Immediate financial savings from using less energy.
A more comfortable space for employees and customers through better control of temperature and lighting.
Long-term financial savings as a result of better equipment that is more reliable and requires fewer repairs.

Eligibility

Available to small business customers whose annual electrical energy consumption is less than 600,000 kWh (approx. $6,000/month in electricity costs).
Pre-approval is required for all projects (incentives will not be paid out for products already purchased).
Customers are eligible to receive both rebates and interest-free on bill financing (up to 24 months).
New construction projects are not eligible, retrofit projects only.
Free energy assessments are available to eligible customers (as determined by Efficiency Nova Scotia). Learn more

Step 1

Read the terms and conditions.

Step 2

If you require someone to do the work for you, we recommend you get three contractor quotes. We make it easy to find the right contractor with our Efficiency Preferred Partner Network.

Step 3

Work with your selected contractor to fill out a Before You Buy Application and applicable worksheet(s) (listed below) and submit them along with quote(s) to rebates@efficiencyns.ca

Step 4

Upon approval from Efficiency Nova Scotia, purchase and work with your contractor to install eligible products.

Step 5

Upon completion, submit the Project Completion Form (provided during pre-approval) and invoice(s) to rebates@efficiencyns.ca
