Heat Pump Recall: Daikin, Amana and Goodman-branded heat pumps (sold between May 2022 and April 2024)
On June 27, 2024 a recall was issued for Daikin, Amana and Goodman-branded heat pumps (sold between May 2022 and April 2024) due to risk of excessive heat exposure following a power interruption.
We will be contacting customers who are impacted by this recall with instructions provided by the manufacturers.
The current guidance for the recall is that units on the list that are awaiting the corrective software update and have no immediate need for air conditioning, turn off and stop using the recalled product until the software update can be performed.
